GHOST TOUR: BASILDON’S PUBLIC ART, LOST AND FOUND
Part ghost tour, part creative exploration, this walking tour led by artists Lu Williams, Emma Edmondson and Laura Whiting of Care Contractors uncovered Basildon's hidden histories through its public art. From familiar sculptures and architectural landmarks to forgotten artworks and overlooked details, participants explored what makes the town's public spaces special. Along the way, they created rubbings, shared stories and voted for their favourite works, helping to imagine what the future of public art in Basildon could look like.
